Slide Potentiometer Switch

Technological Advantages

The lever type switch and the slide potentiometer switch are our exclusive patented designs. Unlike an ordinary microphone, these two switches have optimum effects in inhibiting contact noise and static when the switch is turned on and off.

Lever type switch: The flip type contact can reduce noise when it slides. In addition, the contact area is of soft rubber material, it can absorb shocks when the spring tab flips to contact, effectively reducing generation of noises.
Slide potentiometer switch: The resistor unit has linear impedance, which can provide a step switching effect. With linear switching, the switch has no contact noise (acoustic shock) and can effectively inhibit occurrence of an acoustic shock. Moreover, its cost is somewhat lower than the reed switch.

Slide Potentiometer Switch

The main component of this switch system is a metal film resistor. When the button is pushed left, the metal contact will contact the front end of the resistor. Now, the impedance is very small and the switch is in the short-circuit mode. Conversely, when the metal contact touches the rear end of the resistor, the impedance is very high and the switch is in the open-circuit mode. This switch type is our unique technique, which has good effect on inhibiting acoustic shock when the switch is turned on and off. It has been patented for its design in many countries.

Slide Switch

Most switches used on a microphone are slide switches with a mechanical sliding structure. It is featured with a clear switching mode, good stability and is a general common switch type.

Reed Switch

This switch system contains a reed tube and a magnet. The magnet is movable. When the magnet comes near the reed tube, two reeds (contacts) in the tube will come in contact due to attraction of magnetic force, causing a short circuit. When the magnet stays away from the reed tube, two reeds will separate, causing an open circuit.
The greatest advantage of a reed switch is that it can significantly reduce acoustic shock when the switch starts. However, its cost is high and has poor stability, causing a short switch life.

Lever type Switch

It consists of a ball, conductive rubber and a spring tab. This spring tab will flip to contact like a seesaw, reducing sliding noise when the switch starts. This switch type is our unique technique and has good mechanism stability and a long switch life. It has been patented for its design in many countries.
